Wallington

Since October 2016, we have introduced a dedicated EAL site. This site is now based in Wallington, Sutton.

We have dedicated staff who support learners from abroad and those whose first language is not English (EAL, UASC and Unplaced Year 11 students).

Courses include accreditation from the Prince’s Trust and Life in the UK as well as Functional Skills Qualifications.

All students are taught Maths and English with usage of ICT. In addition they are taught life skills which enables:

  • Students to accept responsibility for their behaviour, show initiative, and understand how they contribute positively to the lives of those living and working in the locality and to society more widely.
  • Provide students with a broad general knowledge of public institutions and services in England.
  • To assist students to acquire an appreciation of and respect for their own and other cultures, in a way that promotes tolerance and harmony between different cultural traditions.
  • To encourage the students to respect the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect, and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
